Is InSchool.me in the App Store or Google Play?

VERY SOON. But this is our soft launch, so for now, InSchool.me is a progressive web app (PWA), which means there’s nothing to download! You simply open and use your browser, sign in, and start using it!

It will behave like a normal app! You can even add it to your device’s home screen too:

  • On iPhone/iPad: Open Safari, tap the Share button, then choose “Add to Home Screen.”

  • On Android: Open Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu, then select “Add to Home Screen.”

After that, InSchool.me will open full-screen, just like a regular app.

🔑 Login & Signup Issues

  • “I didn’t get my verification email.”

    • Check your spam/junk folder.

    • Search your inbox for “InSchool.me.”

    • If using a school/work email (.org/.edu), ask your IT admin to allow “@inschool.me” emails.

    • Try resending from the login page.

  • “I forgot my password.”

    • Use the “Forgot Password” link to reset.

    • Reset email may take a few minutes — check spam/junk.

  • “The link says it’s expired.”

    • Verification links expire after 24 hours. Use “Resend Verification Email.”

📱 Using the App

  • “Do I need to install anything?”

    • Nope!! InSchool.me is a web app.
      Open in your browser, sign in, and add to your home screen.

  • “How do I add it to my phone like an app?”

    • iPhone: On your web browser - Tap Share → Add to Home Screen.

    • Android: On your web browser - Tap ⋮ Menu → Add to Home Screen.

  • “Why can’t I see the send button / messages?”

    • Try scrolling down in the chat window.

    • If on a phone, rotate to landscape mode.

    • Make sure your browser is updated.

  • “I invited my child but they can’t log in.”

    • Double-check the invite email went to the correct address.

    • The child must accept via the unique link in the invite.

  • “We typed the wrong email.”

    • Cancel the invite and resend to the correct address.

🛡️ Security & Privacy

  • “Is my child’s data safe?”

    • All chats are encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

    • AWS (our hosting servers) has a requirement to be more secure than any single business.

    • Data is never sold or shared.

    • Parents can delete accounts at anytime.

🌐 Technical Issues

  • “The site won’t load.”

    • Check your Wi-Fi or data connection.

    • Try a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Brave).

  • “It logs me out randomly.”

    • Logins can expire after inactivity. Sign back in.

    • Check “Remember Me” if available.
